Hi!
My name is Anna Salcedo and I am senior at Purdue University majoring in User Experience Design, minoring in Psychology and receiving a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
My journey to UX Design has been somewhat complicated. When I was high school, I had big aspirations of going to medical school to become a dermatologist. I was determined and ready to face 10+ years of school. Quickly, I realized that this was not the path for me, but I was extremely determined to reach my lifetime and childhood goal of becoming a doctor. I kept pushing myself to keep trying until I could not anymore.
My freshman year roommate was a UX Design student and I was always curious about what she was doing. My sophomore year, I did more research into UX Design and talked to students/professors in the major. In my heart, I knew this was exactly what I envisioned myself for my career. My high school self definitely never saw this coming.
I found a passion for user experience design, innovation, understanding user needs and delivering creative solutions to address these needs while telling a compelling story.
